Woman Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident in State College

State College, Pennsylvania (January 27, 2018) – A woman is nursing serious injuries following a pedestrian accident in downtown State College on Saturday, January 27.

The pedestrian accident occurred at about 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Beaver Avenue and South Allen Street.

Officials of the State College police responding to the incident found the injured woman on the roadway.

The 23-year-old woman, a resident of Walnutport, complained of neck and head pain and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for immediate medical attention before she was rushed to UPMC Altoona for surgery.

The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle, Julia Eisele, a resident of Bernardsville, was not injured.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
