Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Montgomery County

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (August 31, 2018) – Two people were airlifted Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle collision in Montgomery County, according to a local news report.

The collision took place at about 8:40 a.m. August 29 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike between interchanges 333 and 339.

A sedan and a big rig were involved in the collision.

The impact caused the sedan to be wedged under the trailer-tractor resulting in major damage.

Two people were airlifted by a medical helicopter to a hospital. The conditions of the victims were not immediately revealed.

The collision shut down the turnpike from Norristown to the Fort Washington Interchange.

The police are investigating the crash.
