Several Hurt in Crash with at Least Two Tractor-Trailers on I-78 in Upper Saucon Township

Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania (February 23, 2018) – Several people were hurt in a crash involving at least two tractor-trailers on Thursday evening in Upper Saucon Township.

The crash happened at around 5:55 p.m. Thursday, February 22, on Interstate 78 East near West Rock Road.

According to police, a tractor-trailer struck the back of the second trailer, and its cab was entangled with the trailer.

Both tractor-trailers became connected and came to a rest blocking all the three eastbound lanes of I-78.

One driver was stuck in the wreckage but was alert while being extricated and taken to a hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
