Ronald Bogart, Chester Bogart, Matthew Haller Killed in Head-On Crash on Route 209 in Monroe county

Stroud Township, Pennsylvania (September 18, 2018) – The authorities have released the identities of the three people killed in a fatal head-on collision on Sunday night in Stroud Township, Monroe County.

According to a local news source, Matthew Haller, 20, of Wind Gap, Ronald Bogart, 68, and Chester Bogart both of East Stroudsburg were the victims who died in the the the wreck that happened at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, September 16 on Route 209 near Shafers Schoolhouse Road.

Police said Haller was driving a Ford Mustang southbound on Route 209 when he and the driver of another southbound Mustang drifted into the northbound lanes, where Haller collided head-on with an oncoming Subaru Forester.

The Bogart brothers were riding in the Forester at the time.

The two vehicles that collided burst into flames after the crash.

The second Mustang crashed into the guardrail.

It’s unclear whether there were other injuries in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
