Priscilla Rodriguez Critically Injured in North Philadelphia Pedestrian Accident on 17th and Allegheny
North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (September 19, 2018) – Priscilla Rodriguez, 27, was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run driver Friday morning in North Philadelphia, according to a local news source.
The accident happened September 14, on 17th and Allegheny.
Rodriguez’ boyfriend, Jacob Ortega, said he and Rodriguez were standing outside her car outside of his home when a car struck them.
The impact pushed Ortega over the hood of Rodriguez’ car. Rodriguez was pinned and dragged for about six feet away from her car.
The driver who struck them then fled the scene.
Although battered and bruised, Ortega managed to call 911.
Rodriguez was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. As of Tuesday, September 18, she had undergone two surgeries.
Authorities are searching for the suspect vehicle and driver.
An investigation is underway.
