52-Year-Old Marla Quattrone Killed in Monroe Township Car Crash at Leidigh Drive and Gutshall Road
Monroe Township, Pennsylvania (September 4, 2018) – A two-vehicle collision claimed the life of one person on Sunday evening in Monroe Township, Cumberland County.
According to the State Police, the crash happened at the Leidigh Drive and Gutshall Road intersection at around 7:22 p.m. on Sunday, September 2.
State Police said Larry J. Baish, 78, of Boiling Springs, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Leidigh Drive when he tried to turn onto Gutshall Road and collided with a Jeep.
The impact caused the Jeep to flip, ejecting one of its passengers.
The passenger, identified as Marla M. Quattrone, 52, of Carlisle, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, William C. McCoy Jr., 56, of Mount Holly Springs, was taken to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital with serious injuries.
Baish was not injured in the crash.
The State Police are working to determine the cause of the wreck.
