Man, Woman Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Davis Street and Pittston Avenue in Scranton

Scranton, Pennsylvania (August 27, 2018) – Two people, a man, and a woman, were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle accident at an intersection in Scranton, the police said.

The accident occurred at about noon, August 26, at the intersection of Davis Street and Pittston Avenue.

The police said a man was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a semi-truck, for unknown reasons.

The rider and her female passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported by an ambulance to a hospital.  Both victims were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The names of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The truck driver was uninjured in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
