Leroy Hill IV ID’d as Man Killed in Lancaster Township Motorcycle Crash on Route 19
Lancaster Township, Pennsylvania (August 25, 2018) – The police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash involving a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Lancaster Township.
Leroy G. Hill IV, 26, of New Castle died in the incident that happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 on Route 19.
According to the State Police, Hill was riding a motorcycle southbound on Route 19 when he slowed down to make a turn into a business and was rear-ended by a car driven by Nicholas Abbott Jr., 26, of Slippery Rock.
The impact ejected Hill from his bike.
Police said the rider was not wearing a helmet and died of injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash caused a closure of Route 19 for approximately four hours as officials examined and cleared the scene.
The State Police are investigating the incident.
