Pittsburgh Man James Blackburne Dies in 2-Vehicle Wreck at Frankstown Road and Washington Boulevard
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (February 18, 2018) – A 23-year-old Pittsburgh man was fatally injured following a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in Pittsburgh, according to a news release from the county’s medical examiner office
The deadly crash took place at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, February 18, at the intersection of Frankstown Road and Washington Boulevard.
According to the medical examiner’s office, James D. Blackburne pulled his car out of a convenience store parking lot and tried a turn at the intersection when his vehicle collided with another vehicle.
The impact caused the vehicle to spun out of control ejecting Blackburne off the car, the report said.
Blackburne died as a result of the crash while the driver of the other vehicle also sustained injuries in the collision.
An investigation into the deadly wreck is ongoing.
