One Injured in Hamburg Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 61 at Grand Street
Hamburg, Pennsylvania (September 21, 2018) – One person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle accident at an intersection in Hamburg, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. September 19, at the intersection of Route 61 and Grand Street.
Police said a dump truck was heading southbound in the passing lane of Route 61 at the intersection when it swerved to avoid hitting a car which turned in front of it but ended up hitting the turning car and another southbound car.
The turning car fled the scene after the accident.
The driver of the southbound car which was struck was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of Route 61. The vehicles were towed away from the scene.
The police are investigating the crash.
