Fayette County, PA: Car Crashes into Nursing Facility in South Union Township
South Union Township, Pennsylvania (September 23, 2018) – A female driver smashed into a Fayette County nursing facility injuring her and a resident Saturday afternoon in Fayette County, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred shortly before 4:00 September 22, at Lafayette Manor.
As per the article, the woman visiting the facility got into the car and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brakes. The car then crashed into the window part side of the building and pinned a male resident against the wall.
Both the resident and the car driver were transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. They are both expected to be okay.
Responding crews removed the car from the building by 5:00 p.m. They boarded up the hole in the building and repaired the damaged water lines and air conditioning units.
