Dana Vandergrift and Carlos Gonzalez Hurt in Richmond Township Car Crash on Route 222
Richmond Township, Pennsylvania (September 23, 2018) – Two people were injured when a vehicle crashed into another, then slammed into a building in Richmond Township on Friday evening.
According to a local news source, the incident happened at around 6:50 p.m. Friday, September 21 on Route 222.
Police said 33-year-old Carlos Gonzalez of Reading was driving a white SUV southbound on Route 222 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic. He then swerved back into the southbound side and hit a red car, before slamming into a Lash Tax Service building.
The impact caused the red car, driven by Dana Vandergrift, 46, of Littlestown, to roll over onto its side. The SUV then bounced back from the building and hit the red car.
The crash sent debris flying and struck two other vehicles.
Vandergrift and Gonzalez were both transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
No one else was hurt.
