Butler County, Pennsylvania (September 21, 2018) – One person was injured Wednesday evening in a traffic collision in Summit Township, Butler County, authorities said.

The crash took place at about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, September 19th at the intersection of Route 422 and Carbon Center Road.

According to the authorities, a  trailer-tractor collided with another vehicle at the intersection.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped inside their vehicle. They then airlifted the patient to a hospital.

Route 422 was closed as police investigated the cause of the crash and cleared out the accident.
