Bernard Bable Jr Among 3 Injured in Crash at Harbor Edinburg Road and Old Youngstown Road in Union Township

Union Township, Pennsylvania (August 23, 2018) – A three-vehicle collision left three people hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon in Union Township, according to the authorities.

The incident took place at the intersection of Harbor Edinburg Road and Old Youngstown Road at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21.

Police said a Kathleen O’Neil, 61, of North Beaver Township was driving a Honda Civic eastbound on Harbor Edinburg Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into a northbound Chevy Blazer. The Chevy was being driven by Bernard Bable Jr, 23, of Edinburgh.

The impact of the crash sent the Chevy flying before coming to a rest on its driver’s side.

The emergency crews responded to the crash and extricated O’Neil from the wreckage. She was then airlifted to St. Elizabeth’s Youngstown Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

Bable and a passenger in the Honda, Brittany Stewart, 23, were both taken to Jameson Hospital.

Police said O’Neil will be cited for failure to stop for a stop sign.
