3 Motorists Hurt in Luzerne County Collision on I-80
Plains Township, Pennsylvania (January 23, 2018) — Three motorists were hospitalized in a collision involving three vehicles Tuesday morning in Plains Township, Luzerne County.
The accident took place at around 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, on Interstate 81 around mile marker 170 in Plains Township.
According to a Plains Township Deputy, three vehicles were involved in the collision, and each car had a single occupant both of who suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were all taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley, for treatment.
No information on the identity of the victims and the cause of the collision were immediately provided.
Authorities said Traffic on 81 was blocked up and had reopened as of 11:45 a.m.
