Mary Proffit and Hunter Brooks Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 322 in Vernon Township

Vernon Township, Pennsylvania (February 21, 2018) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at an intersection in Vernon Township on Tuesday evening, according to Vernon Township Police Department.

The wreck happened at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, on Route 322 at the intersection of Conneaut Lake Road.

Police said Mary L. Proffit was driving a 2013 Honda Accord westbound on Conneaut Lake Road when she crashed into the left side of a 1992 Mazda Miata that was pulling out of Olde Acquaintances .

Proffit was taken by ambulance to Meadville Medical Center. The driver of the Mazda, Hunter Brooks, was airlifted to UPMC Hamot in Erie.

The crash is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
