Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania (January 23, 2018) – One driver was injured in a collision involving a school bus in Lower Burrell on Monday afternoon.

According to a local news source, the accident was reported at about 2 p.m., January 22, at the intersection of Route 56 and Melwood Road.

A Kia Sportage reportedly ran a red light and crashed into an unoccupied school bus that was on its way to pick up students in the Burrell School District.

A female driver of one of the vehicles hurt her leg in the collision and was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released.
