Scrubgrass Township, Pennsylvania (August 29, 2018) – One person was hospitalized after a crash between a vehicle and a big rig on Saturday morning in  Scrubgrass Township, according to the State Police.

The accident took place at around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24 on Interstate 80 near the Emlenton exit.

Police said a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on I-80 when it crashed into the rear of a Volvo.

The impact caused the Volvo to strike a concrete barrier, while the big rig traveled off the left side and crashed into a construction vehicle.

police said the driver of the Volvo was taken to Grove City Hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the big rig was unhurt and was cited for following too closely.
