Woman, 37, Killed in Pedestrian Crash on South Main Street in Chambersburg

Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (January 27, 2018) – A 37-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car Thursday night in Chambersburg, according to borough police.

The fatal wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Thursday, January 25, along the 1500 block of South Main Street in Chambersburg.

An investigation report indicated that the woman was hit by a vehicle driven south on South Main Street by a 38-year-old male motorist.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the incident scene.

Further information regarding the identity of the victim was not immediately available.

No citation has been issued, but an investigation into the deadly wreck is still underway.
