Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (August 30, 2018) – A pedestrian was injured Monday night after being struck by a train in Pittsburgh.

The accident happened August 27, on South 22nd Street near the Birmingham Bridge.

The Pittsburgh Police Department along with the EMS responded to the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Traffic in the area was re-routed.

The crash remains under investigation.
