Monroe County, Pennsylvania (December 28, 2017) – According to a news release from Stroud Area Regional Police Department, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Allentown in Monroe County.

The deadly collision took place at about 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 26, near the intersection in Stroud Township in Monroe County.

Police said a tow truck was traveling south on Route 611 when the driver attempted to turn onto Route 33 and struck a pedestrian who was walking in a travel lane near the intersection in Stroud Township.

According to the release, the pedestrian was declared dead at the accident scene.
