Girl Injured in Auto-pedestrian Crash on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (December 27, 2017) – A young girl suffered serious injuries when she was knocked down by a vehicle on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard Saturday evening, according to Wilkes-Barre Police Department.

The accident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 23 at the intersection of Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and Conyngham Avenue.

It’s unclear how the crash happened.

The girl was airlifted to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the police.

The crash is under investigation.
