Fayette County, PA: Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 51 in Franklin Township

Fayette County, Pennsylvania (September 22, 2018) – Two people were killed, and three others were injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision in Franklin Township, according to the Belle Vernon state police.

The fatal crash was reported at about 9:21 p.m. September 20, on Route 51 near Smock Road.

Officials said two vehicles were involved in the crash; however, details of how the crash happened were not available.

Two people were killed, and three others were injured in the crash.

Three medical helicopters and the Fayette County coroner’s office were requested to the scene.

The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.
