Driver Killed in SEPTA Bus vs. Sedan Crash on West Chester Pike near Radnor Drive in Newtown Square

Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (December 28, 2017) – According to Septa officials report, one person was killed early Thursday morning in Newton Square in a collision involving a SEPTA bus.

The deadly crash took place at about 12:56 a.m. on West Chester Pike near Radnor Drive in Newtown Square.

According to officials, a driver of a dark-colored sedan, for an unknown reason, lost control of the car and rear-ended the SEPTA bus.

The sedan came to a stop in front of the bus, the driver suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment where he later died, medics said.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

An investigation into the cause of the fatal collision is ongoing.
