Scranton man Corey Weidow Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Broadway Street in Lackawanna County
Scranton, Pennsylvania (February 24, 2018) – Corey M. Weidow, 28, of Scranton has been identified by the Lackawanna County Coroner as the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Scranton.
According to a police report, the crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 23, in the 200 block of Broadway Street.
Police said Weidow was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a Ford SUV.
Weidow sustained major injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No details were provided on the driver of the vehicle involved and whether there were any charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
