Harrisburg Man Barry Wissler ID’d as Person Killed in Cumberland County Pedestrian Crash on Carlisle Pike
Silver Spring Township, Pennsylvania (January 29, 2018) — Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck Saturday morning in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County as Barry Edward Wissler, 53, of Harrisburg.
The accident took place at around 6:45 a.m. Saturday, January 27, in the 6400 block of Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.
According to Cumberland County Coroner, Wissler was struck by a vehicle driven by a Mechanicsburg man in the northbound lane.
Wissler was transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, where he later died from multiple traumatic injuries.
An investigation into the deadly collision is still ongoing.
