Six Injured in Springfield Township Car Crash on Interstate 83 Saturday night
York County, Pennsylvania (August 12, 2018) – Six people were injured Saturday night in a multi-car crash in Springfield Township, York County, authorities said.
The crash took place at around 9:19 p.m. Saturday, August 12 on Interstate 83, just south of mile marker 6, near the Glen Rock exit.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated two people from the wrecked vehicles.
Among the six injured people, three were listed in critical condition, two were listed as severe and one was non-life threatening.
Both northbound lanes on Interstate 83 were shut down. As of 10:45 p.m. both lanes were reopened.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
