3 Injured after Vehicle Crashes into Key Bank along Ben Franklin Highway in Amity Township, Aug 27

Amity Township, Pennsylvania (August 29, 2018) – Three people, including a bank employee, were injured when a vehicle crashed into a Key Bank branch in Amity Township on Monday afternoon.

According to the Amity Township Police Department, the crash was reported at around 2:22 p.m. Monday, August 27 at 1191 Ben Franklin Highway (Route 422).

Police said a Pottstown resident was driving a 2005 Ford Escape when it crashed into the bank wall accidentally.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were transported to Reading Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

One bank employee suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The authorities are investigating to find out the cause of the wreck.
